Hi! My name is Michal, and I'm a photographer from Czechia who now lives in West Sussex, United Kingdom. I have a strong love for motorsport and photography. Ever since I was 12 years old, I've been a big fan of motorsport and wanted to find a way to be a part of it. In 2018, I had a life-changing moment when I bought my first camera. I instantly fell in love with photography, and it didn't take long for me to bring my camera to the racetrack, which I consider my sanctuary. That's when I realized that photography is my true calling, and I haven't looked back since.
For me, photography is the best way to be involved in motorsport, second only to being a racing driver. I see many similarities between these two professions. As I watch the racing drivers closely through my camera lens, I admire how they push the limits of their vehicles and themselves. They work together in perfect harmony, focused on improving with every turn and lap. Similarly, as a photographer, I am intensely focused on capturing each photo better than the one before. I strive to improve my skills, using my camera instinctively and pushing myself to creatively capture the feeling of speed, motion, and emotions.

I have spent many days practicing photography and it has paid off. I won first prize in the International Photo Awards in both amateur and professional categories. I was also nominated for the British photo awards in the sports category in 2021, 2022, 2023. My photos made it to the finals of the World Sports Photo Awards in 2021 and 2022. I have been very fortunate to have published three articles in Digital Camera magazine and had my photos published in Octane and Motorsport magazines. I’ve worked for Goodwood Road and Racing company ltd. between 2021 - 2023 as an official photographer, covering their famous events like the Festival Of Speed, Revival, and Goodwood Members Meeting. It's been a privilege to work alongside some of the best photographers in the industry.

In early 2024 I started a collaboration with on-line publication GT-REPORT. As a regular contributor I have covered a variety of events from classic car festivals to the top of the class endurance races such as the iconic 24 hours of Le Mans. In 2025 I started gaining some experience with photojournalism and I have published my own articles from the world of motorsport.

In recent years, as a freelance photographer I had a pleasure to cover events around Europe for my personal clients. Overall, it has been a beautiful and inspiring journey so far, and I'm excited for the future and all the amazing projects ahead.
